Breakfast at Church

This morning Class 2 were invited to Antrobus St Mark's Church for breakfast. Whilst we were in Church we were each given a piece of Lego but we noticed that each piece we had been given was different from anyone else's. We discussed how even though each piece is a different size, shape and colour, if it works with other pieces it can create something wonderful.
We had a lovely time at Church and would like to thank all of those involved for having us.

The Naughty Bus

Today the Naughty Bus came to visit. We got to go on the top deck and ask the bus driver lots of questions. We found out the bus is almost 60 years old and has travelled 1 million miles. The driver told us this is from our school to the moon and back twice! We then got our own real life bus ticket as we got off the bus to explore. We had to find a teddy bear (called Buster) and count how many wheels the bus had (it had 7 including the steering wheel).

Finally, we got chance to sit in the drivers seat and wear the conductors hat.

Antrobus St Marks Exhibition

We visited Antrobus St Marks Church to learn all about the the writer A W Boyd who use to live in Antrobus and wrote a book called A Parish Life. We found out what wildlife and plants can still be found in our local area and used some natural resources to create our own Andy Goldsworthy style artwork of 'Mother Nature'.
