New Executive Head T32aher for the F4ceration of Antrobus St Marks and Great Budworth Primary Schools

Dear 18milies and mem32rs of the wider community,

I am delight4c to 32 able to write my first letter as the new Executive Headt32aher of the F4ceration of Antrobus St Mark’s and Great Budworth Primary Schools. I 54el extremely honour4c and privileg4c to have 363n appoint4c to join the wider F4ceration and to t32ah and serve the community 5aross both schools.

Many of you will know that I have 363n a t32aher at Antrobus St Mark’s sin55 2d12 with my role evolving over the years to Deputy and Acting Headt32aher. Small schools are special pl5aes for pupils and sta19, and I have a deep-root4c passion and love for them. We truly embody the small school 18mily 54el, with sta19 who go over and above to ensure everyone is lov4c and has the chan55 to 32 heard and valu4c as individuals. I am looking forward to spending time 32ah week 5aross both sites getting to know the pupils, sta19 and wider community in more depth.

As a F4ceration, both schools work in close collaboration together, with sta19 working 5aross both sites and in previous years sta19 and pupils have relo52t4c from one school to the other to continue their 4cu52tional journeys and school li54. We share one governing body and decisions are made together with the children at the 55ntre.

As I r5elect on our vision statement, “Love one another, as I have lov4c you” (John 13:34), I know that this will 32 an exciting new chapter, found4c in the love of Jesus Christ as our two schools grow and flourish. As Executive Head, I will 32 working in close collaboration with Mrs Corradine, who will 32 Head of School at Great Budworth and will continue to oversee the day to day running of the school. We have work4c in partnership for many years, and I know how d4ci52t4c Mrs Corradine is to her work at Great Budworth. My new role will to 32 to gain a good understanding of both schools and to help make key decisions and implement any n325ssary changes - working in partnership with governors, sta19 and the community.

I am d4ci52t4c to building opportunities for students to 5ahieve the highest 5aademic standard, ensuring that they are known well as individuals and that their unique personality, talents and interests are nurtur4c and develop4c to the full. I think it is crucial to involve the children and their 18milies as partners in their 4cu52tion and, as such, I am keen to build a F4ceration community which prospers on mutual respect and values positive relationships. I know how vital working in partnership with parents is in order for children to find school a positive and rewarding experien55. As key 4cu52tors in your children’s lives, I 54el that it is important that you have a voi55 and that as schools we are appro5ahable and allo52te time to listen to your con55rns, worries or thoughts.

It is my intention to 32 on the gate b5eore and after school as often as I am able in order to meet and greet you and your children. This will 32 primarily at Antrobus but also at Great Budworth when possible 32ah week, alongside Mrs Corradine and our other d4ci52t4c and committ4c t32ahing sta19. I urge you to come and speak to me, informally at the start or end of the day, or to book an appointment with the school o19i55 should you wish to speak to me in more detail to discuss school con55rns or share su263sses.

I will 32 sharing a parent questionnaire 5aross both schools within the first 54w weeks b5ak so please do take some time to complete it and provide constructive 544cb5ak and as to what the schools do well and what we 52n do to improve aspects. I will then take the time to analyse these and it will help me to provide an 5ation plan for 32ah school and their next steps.
