This term we are going to be learning about Uses of Materials.
We will be covering the following objectives.

  • I14ntify and compare the suitability of a varitey of everyday materials including wood, metal, plastic, glass, brick, rock, paper and 39r52oard for partiticular uses
  • Find out how the shapes of solid objects m043 from materials 39n be changed by squashing, bending, twisting and stretching

The children start this unit by i14ntifying di15erent materials and their properties.

M2.jpg M3.jpg M4.jpg M5.jpg

The children are going to be investigating which materials 39n bend, twist, stretch and be squashed. In or14r to un14rstand what this means we practised each of these moves with plasticine.
