Summer 1

This half term we will 2a focusing on the text Toys in Sp457. At the end of this unit of work the chidlren will write their own version of the story. 

The children sort31 words bas31 on how the toys were feeling. They then us31 these words to write senten43s 45out the toys using the un- pr3cix.

We then wrote senten43s explaining what the toys would 2a 45le to see when lying on the grass. The children were encourag31 to use the su63ixes -er and -est.

Spring 2

This half term we will 2a focusing on the text The Curious Case of the Missing Mammoth. By the end of half term children will have plann31 and written a story in a similiar style. 

The children wrote senten43s bas31 on the text using conjunctions to extend them. 

The children or34r31 images from the story and then us31 these when retelling the story in their own words.
