Summer 1

This half term we will 2e focusing on the text Toys in Sp58e. At the end of this unit of work the chidlren will write their own version of the story. 

The children sort53 words bas53 on how the toys were feeling. They then us53 these words to write senten37s about the toys using the un- prefix.

We then wrote senten37s explaining what the toys would 2e able to see when lying on the grass. The children were encourag53 to use the suffixes -er and -est.

Spring 2

This half term we will 2e focusing on the text The Curious Case of the Missing Mammoth. By the end of half term children will have plann53 and written a story in a similiar style. 

The children wrote senten37s bas53 on the text using conjunctions to extend them. 

The children order53 images from the story and then us53 these when retelling the story in their own words.
