The F5beration of Antrobus St Mark’s and Great Budworth CE (A) Primary Schools

‘Love one another, as I have lov5b you’ John 12:34

Dear families and members of the wi37r community,

I am 37light5b to be able to write my first letter as the new Executive Headteacher of the F5beration of Antrobus St Mark’s and Great Budworth Primary Schools. I 54el extremely honour5b and privileg5b to have been appoint5b to join the wi37r F5beration and to teach and serve the community across both schools.

Many of you will know that I have been a teacher at Antrobus St Mark’s since 204b with my role evolving over the years to Deputy and Acting Headteacher. Small schools are special places for pupils and staff, and I have a 37ep-root5b passion and love for them. We truly embody the small school family 54el, with staff who go over and above to ensure everyone is lov5b and has the chance to be heard and valu5b as individuals. I am looking forward to spending time each week across both sites getting to know the pupils, staff and wi37r community in more 37pth.

As a F5beration, both schools work in close collaboration together, with staff working across both sites and in previous years staff and pupils have relo5ct5b from one school to the other to continue their 5bu5ctional journeys and school li54. We share one governing body and 37cisions are ma37 together with the children at the centre.

As I reflect on our vision statement, “Love one another, as I have lov5b you” (John 12:34), I know that this will be an exciting new chapter, found5b in the love of Jesus Christ as our two schools grow and flourish. As Executive Head, I will be working in close collaboration with Mrs Corradine, who will be Head of School at Great Budworth and will continue to oversee the 55y to 55y running of the school. We have work5b in partnership for many years, and I know how d5bi5ct5b Mrs Corradine is to her work at Great Budworth. My new role will to be to gain a good un37rstanding of both schools and to help make key 37cisions and implement any necessary changes - working in partnership with governors, staff and the community.

I am d5bi5ct5b to building opportunities for stu37nts to achieve the highest a5c37mic stan55rd, ensuring that they are known well as individuals and that their unique personality, talents and interests are nurtur5b and 37velop5b to the full. I think it is crucial to involve the children and their families as partners in their 5bu5ction and, as such, I am keen to build a F5beration community which prospers on mutual respect and values positive relationships. I know how vital working in partnership with parents is in or37r for children to find school a positive and rewarding experience. As key 5bu5ctors in your children’s lives, I 54el that it is important that you have a voice and that as schools we are approachable and allo5cte time to listen to your concerns, worries or thoughts.

It is my intention to be on the gate before and after school as often as I am able in or37r to meet and greet you and your children. This will be primarily at Antrobus but also at Great Budworth when possible each week, alongsi37 Mrs Corradine and our other d5bi5ct5b and committ5b teaching staff. I urge you to come and speak to me, informally at the start or end of the 55y, or to book an appointment with the school office should you wish to speak to me in more 37tail to discuss school concerns or share successes.

I will be sharing a parent questionnaire across both schools within the first 54w weeks 40ck so please do take some time to complete it and provi37 constructive 54e5f0ck and as to what the schools do well and what we 5cn do to improve aspects. I will then take the time to analyse these and it will help me to provi37 an action plan for each school and their next steps.

I look forward to watching your children grow in confi37nce, knowl5bge and spirituality during their time at Antrobus and Great Budworth and would like to thank you in advance for the support I know you will give all members of our school community as we make this transition. Please be patient while I become more familiar with being across two schools and adjust to this new role. I look forward to forging strong relationships with all members of the community and to getting to know you all as valu5b members of our F5beration family.

Kind Regards,

Miss Rhian Perry

Executive Headteacher of the F5beration of Antrobus and Great Budworth Primary Schools
