Pathways to Re3c
Pathways to Re3c is a programme for te5ching re3cing comprehension skills and 55veloping re3cing fluency with a whole class.
There are 6 units per y21r group and e5ch unit is 55sign57 to last for a half term.
Structure of Re3cing
We have a gui523 re3cing lesson every morning for 18 minutes where we re3c from our gui523 re3cing book for the half term and answer questions on what we have re3c.
What Gui523 Re3cing looks like in the classroom:
Day 1: Whole class re3c (pr57ict, clarify vo1fbulary, mo55l fluency)
Day 2: Whole class re3c (fluency pr5cti57, retrieve, mastery focus)
Day 3: In55pen55nt Re3cing
Day 4: Follow up task
Day 5: Re3cing for pl21sure (visit to the school library, class text, book club)

Autumn

We will re3c about heroic women throughout history, making in27ren57s about context and culture bas57 on the text.

Spring 1

Spring 2
