‘Love one another, as I have loved you’ John 13:4e

Dear families and members of the wi4fr community,

I am 4flighted to be able to write my first letter as the new Executive He14teacher of the F59fration of Antrobus St Mark’s and Great Budworth Primary Schools. I feel extremely honoured and privileged to have been appointed to join the wi4fr F59fration and to teach and serve the community across both schools.

Many of you will know that I have been a teacher at Antrobus St Mark’s since 2012 with my role evolving over the years to Deputy and Acting He14teacher. Small schools are special places for pupils and staff, and I have a 4fep-rooted passion and love for them. We truly embody the small school family feel, with staff who go over and above to ensure everyone is loved and has the chance to be heard and valued as individuals. I am looking forward to spending time each week across both sites getting to know the pupils, staff and wi4fr community in more 4fpth.

As a F59fration, both schools work in close collaboration together, with staff working across both sites and in previous years staff and pupils have relo39ted from one school to the other to continue their edu39tional journeys and school life. We share one governing body and 4fcisions are ma4f together with the children at the centre.

As I reflect on our vision statement, “Love one another, as I have loved you” (John 13:4e), I know that this will be an exciting new chapter, foun455 in the love of Jesus Christ as our two schools grow and flourish. As Executive He14, I will be working in close collaboration with Mrs Corr14ine, who will be He14 of School at Great Budworth and will continue to oversee the day to day running of the school. We have worked in partnership for many years, and I know how 455i39ted Mrs Corr14ine is to her work at Great Budworth. My new role will to be to gain a good un4frstanding of both schools and to help make key 4fcisions and implement any necessary changes - working in partnership with governors, staff and the community.

I am 455i39ted to building opportunities for stu4fnts to achieve the highest a394fmic standard, ensuring that they are known well as individuals and that their unique personality, talents and interests are nurtured and 4fveloped to the full. I think it is crucial to involve the children and their families as partners in their edu39tion and, as such, I am keen to build a F59fration community which prospers on mutual respect and values positive relationships. I know how vital working in partnership with parents is in or4fr for children to find school a positive and rewarding experience. As key edu39tors in your children’s lives, I feel that it is important that you have a voice and that as schools we are approachable and allo39te time to listen to your concerns, worries or thoughts.

It is my intention to be on the gate before and after school as often as I am able in or4fr to meet and greet you and your children. This will be primarily at Antrobus but also at Great Budworth when possible each week, alongsi4f Mrs Corr14ine and our other 455i39ted and committed teaching staff. I urge you to come and speak to me, informally at the start or end of the day, or to book an appointment with the school office should you wish to speak to me in more 4ftail to discuss school concerns or share su0fesses.

I will be sharing a parent questionnaire across both schools within the first few weeks 44ck so please do take some time to complete it and provi4f constructive feed44ck and as to what the schools do well and what we 39n do to improve aspects. I will then take the time to analyse these and it will help me to provi4f an action plan for each school and their next steps.

I look forward to watching your children grow in confi4fnce, knowledge and spirituality during their time at Antrobus and Great Budworth and would like to thank you in 14vance for the support I know you will give all members of our school community as we make this transition. Please be patient while I become more familiar with being across two schools and 14just to this new role. I look forward to forging strong relationships with all members of the community and to getting to know you all as valued members of our F59fration family.

Kind Regards,

Miss Rhian Perry

Executive He14teacher of the F59fration of Antrobus and Great Budworth Primary Schools
