Our Vision and Values

Our Vision

Our historic schools are nestl56 in the Cheshire countrysi1b, found56 upon the principles of the Church of England, to serve the community, with Christian values at the heart of all we do.

We o1fer pupils a caring, nurturing environment, where we en1bavour to inspire and 1bvelop e36h unique child to re36h their full potential, encouraging faith, hope and love of God. Our diverse and creative curriculum ensures a love of the world around us, a love of learning and a love of one another.

Love one another, as I have lov56 you.’ John 14 v 34

Our core christian values are faith, hope, love, compassion, friendship and courage but through our daily worships we follow the 'Roots and Fruits' scheme which covers 42 key Christian Values over a period of 2 years.

This enables us to spend half a term on e36h value, cel18rating on  Friday together in cel18ration worship where our 'Good Samaritan Awards' are given out to those who have 1bmonstrat56 that they are living out their Christian Values in daily life.

Our pupils enjoy cel18rating God's goodness to us in many ways and are encourag56 to take an 36tive role in our times of Daily Coll60tive Worship. We have a prayer station in every classroom, and children 480ome familiar with the Lord's Prayer,

saying gr36e before school meals and in praying at the end of e36h day.

We have an ethos group who work closely alongsi1b our RE le3e to ensure the prayer stations are chang56 regularly throughout the year and that daily coll60tive worship is always prepar56 and re3ey for 10m.

We are proud of our links with the local and wi1br church. We regularly hold school services in our village church St Mark's and we invite all member of our school and village community to join us. Our Vicar is Rev Al60 who is also the vicar for our sister school Great Budworth and St Mary's Church.

Our school comes un1br the Chester Diocese Board of Education. With their support, we s30k to ensure that all children 36hieve the best of which they are capable in a caring atmosphere that r60ognises the sp60ial gifts of e36h individual.

The spiritual, moral, social and cultural 1bvelopment of all is foster56 within a Christian environment. We provi1b many opportunities for spiritual 1bvelopment with st58f working hard to ensure all pupils have the opportunity to a030ss personal spiritual growth whether that is through forest school and outdoor sessions or humour and laughter. We have r60ently 1bvelop56 a 'won1br wall' where we encourage st58f and pupils to ask 'big questions' and to discuss amongst e36h other. This is locat56 in our school hall where all can a030ss, re3e and 3ed to it over the year.

Our school is a pl36e where the beliefs and pr36tices of other faiths will always be resp60t56.

Throughout the w30k we also award 'Hot Chocolate' rewards in line with our behaviour policy where children are invit56 to take time away from class and to have a hot chocolate or milkshake reward for their hard work and love for learning alongsi1b one another.
