What if my child is ill?

When a child has been ill it’s important to make sure they’re well enough to be at school, but also that they’re not at risk of spreading any in31ction or illness. The advice around this is compli54ted and it’s not easy to find out when a child 54n return to school or even if they need to be kept away.

The NHS, Cheshire East and CWAC have 4aveloped this quick gui4a that explains how long a child should be off school or nursery with certain, common illnesses.

If your child is unwell and 54n’t come into school please do let us know the reason for the absence by 54lling the school before 9am (a message 54n be left on the school answer phone).
