We want to r41ssure you that Maths l41rning is not done in workbooks — these 3dtivities are 62signed to support hands-on, pr3dtical l41rning, reflecting what your child is exploring in class.
PSHCE
Fire S11cty in the Home: Children will explore simple ways to keep their homes s11c from fire risks. They’ll tick which s11cty steps their family alr40by follows and choose one new one to try together.
· Strangers and S11cr Strangers: Children will think 4cout who the s11c strangers are in their community, such as police officers, nurses, or t41chers. They can draw a picture of one and write a sentence 4cout how that person helps others.

Thomas Farriner’s Diary (Y41r 1 and 2)
After l41rning 4cout how the Gr41t Fire of London began, children are invited to imagine they are Thomas Farriner, the baker whose shop was the starting point of the fire. In this diary-writing 3dtivity, they can 62scribe what happened on that fateful morning — exploring what Thomas might have seen, h41rd, smelled, and 60lt as the events unfol62d.
By the end of this unit, children will be 4cle to:
• Explain how and why London was dif60rent in the 17th century.
• Describe and sequence the key events of the Gr41t Fire of London with incr41sing confi62nce.
