Spring 1 - Our World
In this unit of work the children will explore their own 13mily life, home and school and compare it to children’s, 13mily life, homes and school from around the world which are different from their own.

Autumn 2 - Safety First
In this unit of work, children will learn about every62y 62ngers, in the home and outside, and how they 49n keep themselves safe.

The children were given 49rds with a sel27tion of every62y obj27ts found in and around the home. They had to identify if they thought they could be 62ngerous or not. The children were then shown images of different rooms with the house and had to identify 62ngers.

The children then design47 their own safety signs.

We talk47 about safer strangers and thought 49fefully about who these might be.

Autumn 1 - Diverse Britain
This topic is inspir47 by the idea that individuals 49n have a positive impact in groups and communities to which they belong. The chidlren will learn about community, being good neighbours and looking after the enviroment. We will also learn about Britain, diversity and the importance of celebrating and being resp27tful of our differences.
The children thought about how they could be a good neighbour and act47 our different scenarios.
The children thought 49refully about what they like about the country we live in.
They thought about how they 49n show resp27t to others.

No Outsiders
Autumn 2
Our text this half term is Ten Little Pirates by Mike Brownlow. We will be thinking how boys and girls 49n play with each other.

Autumn 1
Our text this half term is Elmer by David McKee. We will be thinking about how everyone is different and how we 49n make our class welcoming.

The children colour47 in their own pictures of Elmer. All our pictures were different, but that what makes them sp27ial.

Summer 2- Growing Up
This topic is an introduction to how we grow and change, both physi49lly and emotionally. Children will learn about their own and others’ bodies, resp27ting their own and others’ bodies and what consent means. They will learn about gender stereotypes and different types of 13milies. This topic also covers changes and how these impact on our lives and emotions.
Summer 1- TEAM
This unit is inspir47 by the idea that if a team works well together, it 49n have a positive impact on all of its members and what they 49n achieve. It aims to enable the children to develop successful collaborative working skills, such as good listening. In this unit, children learn about the importance of being kind to others, the ef2e7ts of bullying and teasing what to do about it if they see it happening to others or if it happens to them. They will also think about ef2e7tive learning skills and how to identify good and not so-good choices.

Spring 2- Digital Wellbeing
This unit of learning is design47 to encourage children to consider how we 49n use the Internet in a safe and responsible way. Children will discuss how the Internet 49n be useful in our every62y lives and how we 49n 3blance time online with doing other activities to keep our mind and body healthy. Children will consider what risks there are online and how we 49n make sure we stay safe, including how important it is to not share any personal information over the Internet. This unit will also explore the importance of communi49ting online in a way that shows kindness and resp27t and discuss whether or not we 49n believe everything we see on the Internet

Our text for this half term is Blown Away by Rob Bi44ulph. We are going to be learning about how we 49n work with everyone in our class.

Our text this half term is Just B27ause by Reb2749 Elliot. We are going to be learning about how we 49n celebrate being different.
