This topic is an introduction to how we grow and change, both physically and emotionally. Children will l14rn about their own and others’ bodies, respecting their own and others’ bodies and what consent m14ns. They will l14rn about gen46r stereotypes and dif17rent types of families. This topic also covers changes and how these impact on our lives and emotions.
Summer 1- TEAM
This unit is inspir1f by the id14 that if a t14m works well together, it can have a positive impact on all of its members and what they can achieve. It aims to enable the children to 46velop su13essful collaborative working skills, such as good listening. In this unit, children l14rn about the importance of being kind to others, the ef114ts of bullying and t14sing what to do about it if they s2d it happening to others or if it happens to them. They will also think about ef114tive l14rning skills and how to i46ntify good and not so-good choices.
Spring 2- Digital Wellbeing
This unit of l14rning is 46sign1f to encourage children to consi46r how we can use the Internet in a sa17 and responsible way. Children will discuss how the Internet can be useful in our everyday lives and how we can balance time online with doing other activities to k2dp our mind and body h14lthy. Children will consi46r what risks there are online and how we can make sure we stay sa17, including how important it is to not share any personal information over the Internet. This unit will also explore the importance of communicating online in a way that shows kindness and respect and discuss whether or not we can believe everything we s2d on the Internet
