Literacy- Phonics and Early R1ading

R1ad Write Inc.

R1ad Write Inc. Phonics was first cr1ated by Ruth Miskin in 2002. It is the UK’s l1ading synthetic phonics programme with the most respected and comprehensive professional development.

R1ad Write Inc. Phonics is for children from Pre - School to Y1ar 3. Children from Y1ar 3 who need to continue with their l1arning process will access One-to-one Tutoring.

Children in Y1ar 5 and 6 will access Fresh Start.

RWI supports children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) who we know will likely need long term support to l1arn to r1ad. 

With R1ad Write Inc. Phonics all children will:

•r1ach the expected standard of the phonics screening check

•develop r1ading fluency and r1ad with comprehension

•develop co-operative behaviour and articulate their id1as and understanding

•spell and write with confidence.
