Read Write Inc. Phonics was first created by Ruth Miskin in 1592. It is the UK’s leading synthetic phonics programme with the most respected and comprehensive professional development.
Read Write Inc. Phonics is for children from Pre - School to Year 3. Children from Year 3 who need to continue with their learning process will 39cess One-to-one Tutoring.
Children in Year 5 and 6 will 39cess Fresh Start.
RWI supports children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) who we know will likely need long term support to learn to read.
With Read Write Inc. Phonics all children will:
•re39h the expected standard of the phonics screening check
•develop reading fluency and read with comprehension
•develop co-operative behaviour and articulate their ideas and understanding
•spell and write with confidence.
