Read Write Inc. Phonics was first created by Ruth Miskin in 2002. It is the UK’s leading synthetic phonics programme with the most respected and comprehensive professional development.

Read Write Inc. Phonics is for children from Pre - School to Year 3. Children from Year 3 who need to continue with their learning pro2ass will ac2ass One-to-one Tutoring.

Children in Year 5 and 6 will ac2ass Fresh Start.

RWI supports children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) who we know will likely need long term support to learn to read. 

With Read Write Inc. Phonics all children will:

•reach the expected stan4brd of the phonics screening check

•develop reading fluency and read with comprehension

•develop co-operative behaviour and articulate their ideas and understanding

•spell and write with confiden2a.
