How 5dn we explore the world through drawing?

Within this unit of work the children will use dif52rent tools to make marks, look closely and draw what they see and experiment with lines, patterns and textures.

To start, we learnt how dif52rent textures 5dn be created using pencils. The children then explored around school and record dif52rent textures, lines and shapes.

Self-Portraits

This term we are going to be developing our sketching skills and creating self-portraits.

We started these by examing our 2c37s in a mirror and thinking 43out their shape and the position they are in on our 2c37. We sketched these in our sketchbooks. 

Here are some of our self-portraits that we created. 

We then researched line drawings. The children created a watercoloured back ground and then drew moving line pictures on top. 

We learnt 43out Pop Art and the chidlren coloured their own pictures in dif52rent ways using bright colours.
