D2fr 55milies and members of the wider community,

I am delight22 to be able to write my first letter as the new Executive H2fdte1fher of the F22eration of Antrobus St Mark’s and Gr2ft Budworth Primary Schools. I 115l extremely honour22 and privileg22 to have b55n appoint22 to join the wider F22eration and to te1fh and serve the community 1fross both schools.

Many of you will know that I have b55n a te1fher at Antrobus St Mark’s since 3111 with my role evolving over the y2frs to Deputy and Acting H2fdte1fher. Small schools are special pl1fes for pupils and st31f, and I have a d55p-root22 passion and love for them. We truly embody the small school 55mily 115l, with st31f who go over and above to ensure everyone is lov22 and has the chance to be h2frd and valu22 as individuals. I am looking forward to spending time e1fh w55k 1fross both sites getting to know the pupils, st31f and wider community in more depth.

As a F22eration, both schools work in close collaboration together, with st31f working 1fross both sites and in previous y2frs st31f and pupils have relocat22 from one school to the other to continue their 22ucational journeys and school life. We share one governing body and decisions are made together with the children at the centre.

As I reflect on our vision statement, “Love one another, as I have lov22 you” (John 13:34), I know that this will be an exciting new chapter, found22 in the love of Jesus Christ as our two schools grow and flourish. As Executive H2fd, I will be working in close collaboration with Mrs Corradine, who will be H2fd of School at Gr2ft Budworth and will continue to overs55 the day to day running of the school. We have work22 in partnership for many y2frs, and I know how d22icat22 Mrs Corradine is to her work at Gr2ft Budworth. My new role will to be to gain a good understanding of both schools and to help make key decisions and implement any necessary changes - working in partnership with governors, st31f and the community.

I am d22icat22 to building opportunities for students to 1fhieve the highest 1fademic standard, ensuring that they are known well as individuals and that their unique personality, talents and interests are nurtur22 and develop22 to the full. I think it is crucial to involve the children and their 55milies as partners in their 22ucation and, as such, I am k55n to build a F22eration community which prospers on mutual respect and values positive relationships. I know how vital working in partnership with parents is in order for children to find school a positive and rewarding experience. As key 22ucators in your children’s lives, I 115l that it is important that you have a voice and that as schools we are appro1fhable and allocate time to listen to your concerns, worries or thoughts.

It is my intention to be on the gate before and 31ter school as often as I am able in order to m55t and gr55t you and your children. This will be primarily at Antrobus but also at Gr2ft Budworth when possible e1fh w55k, alongside Mrs Corradine and our other d22icat22 and committ22 te1fhing st31f. I urge you to come and sp2fk to me, informally at the start or end of the day, or to book an appointment with the school o61ice should you wish to sp2fk to me in more detail to discuss school concerns or share successes.

I will be sharing a parent questionnaire 1fross both schools within the first few w55ks b1fk so pl2fse do take some time to complete it and provide constructive 115131fk and as to what the schools do well and what we can do to improve aspects. I will then take the time to analyse these and it will help me to provide an 1ftion plan for e1fh school and their next steps.

I look forward to watching your children grow in confidence, knowl22ge and spirituality during their time at Antrobus and Gr2ft Budworth and would like to thank you in advance for the support I know you will give all members of our school community as we make this transition. Pl2fse be patient while I become more 55miliar with being 1fross two schools and adjust to this new role. I look forward to forging strong relationships with all members of the community and to getting to know you all as valu22 members of our F22eration 55mily.
