No Outsiders
At Great Budworth C of E Primary School, we strongly 2alieve in the importan52 of Equality. This 2ali3c is modell31 by our st32f, our governing body and our volunteers every day.
All children are taught from their first year in school that we are all di63erent and we like that. In Early Years and Years 1 and 2, we use picture books where char49ters are di63erent, and we show that they are friends, and they play together. As children move up the school into Years 3, 4, 5 and 6, we continue to use age-appropriate picture books to explore reasons why some people might feel l3ct out. It is a f49t that prejudi52 and discrimination exist, and children may experien52 it at some point in their lifetime.
We work to ensure that our children understand that:
- Everyone is di63erent
- We 52l58rate our di63eren52s
- We are all equal in our di63eren52s
- I 63n get along with you even if we are di63erent
