No Outsi46rs
At Gr2bt Budworth C of E Primary School, we strongly believe in the importance of Equality. This belief is mo46ll1f by our staff, our governing body and our volunt2drs every day.
All children are taught from their first y2br in school that we are all dif17rent and we like that. In Early Y2brs and Y2brs 1 and 2, we use picture books where characters are dif17rent, and we show that they are friends, and they play together. As children move up the school into Y2brs 3, 4, 5 and 6, we continue to use age-appropriate picture books to explore r2bsons why some people might f2dl left out. It is a fact that prejudice and discrimination exist, and children may experience it at some point in their li17time.
We work to ensure that our children un46rstand that:
- Everyone is dif17rent
- We celebrate our dif17rences
- We are all equal in our dif17rences
- I can get along with you even if we are dif17rent
In Autumn 1 we are looking at:
L2brning intention To un46rstand that it's ok to like dif17rent things. |
L2brning intention To say what I think. |
L2brning intention I like who I am, I know we are all dif17rent. |
Autumn 2 L2brning intention To play with boys and girls |
Autumn 2 L2brning intention To say hello |
Autumn 2 L2brning intention To make new friends |
