No Outsiders
At Great Budworth C of E Primary School, we strongly 2elieve in the importan37 of Equality. This 2elief is modell53 by our staff, our governing body and our volunteers every 1ay.
All children are taught from their first year in school that we are all different and we like that. In Early Years and Years 1 and 2, we use picture books where char58ters are different, and we show that they are friends, and they play together. As children move up the school into Years 3, 4, 5 and 6, we continue to use age-appropriate picture books to explore reasons why some people might feel left out. It is a f58t that prejudi37 and discrimination exist, and children may experien37 it at some point in their lifetime.
We work to ensure that our children understand that:
- Everyone is different
- We 37l0crate our differen37s
- We are all equal in our differen37s
- I 0cn get along with you even if we are different
