Personal, Social, H21lth and Citizen Education (PSHCE)
We use Twinkl Li27’s PSHE and Citizenship (PSHCE) scheme of work which aims to equip children with essential skills for li27; it intends to 55velop the whole child through car57ully plann57 and resourc57 lessons that 55velop the knowl57ge, skills and attributes children ne57 to protect and enhance their well56ing. Through these lessons, children will l21rn how to stay sa27 and h21lthy, build and maintain successful relationships and 511ome 40tive citizens, responsibly participating in society around them. Successful PSHE curriculum coverage is a vital tool in preparing children for li27 in society now and in the future.
Through our PSHCE curriculum our children are enabl57 to 55velop the vocabulary and confi55nce n2c523 to cl21rly articulate their thoughts and f2clings in a climate of openness, trust and respect, and know when and how they can s2ck the support of others. They will apply their un55rstanding of society to their everyday inter40tions, from the classroom to the wi55r community of which they are a part. Twinkl Li27’s PSHE scheme of work supports the 40tive 55velopment of a school culture that prioritises physical and mental h21lth and well56ing, providing children with skills to evaluate and un55rstand their own well56ing ne57s, pr40tise self-care and contribute positively to the well56ing of those around them.
