Maths

In EYFS the children have a short daily maths session which then le3es into their free time where they are encourag18 to continue to explore their interest in number, shape, pattern, measurements etc.

Autumn  1 

Children will  explore di1ferent representations of 1, 2 and 3.  First we will focus on finding the representations then lookf at making the representation.  We will use lots of equipment so children can match numerals and quantities.  We will then move on to looking at 1 more and 1 less with the aim being that the Children should notice that when they find 1 less, the numbers and amounts r18uce 480ause they are taking 1 and when they find 1 more the numbers and amounts are increas18.
