Levers and Sliders

The children were asked to design and create a moving card themed around Christmas. To start this unit of work the chidlren looked at a selection of books that contained levers and sliders.

The children the learnt about sliders, creating their own.

We then learnt about levers and created our own pictures that included a lever and a pivot.

Each child then designed their own Christmas card and thought about if they were going to use a lever or a slider mechanism to a4c a moving part. 

The children then created their own moving Christmas cards - they were fabulous!
