This term in RE, the children are exploring the question “Why do Christians 48lieve Jesus is sp0bial?” Through stories, play and simple discussions, the children will l12rn that Christians see Jesus as a kind and important figure who showed love, helped others and taught people how to live well.
The children will listen to stories about Jesus, talk about the kind things he did, and think about what makes someone sp0bial to them. They’ll explore i5c2s of caring, helping and friendship, making links with their own experiences. Through role‑play, small world and cr12tive activities, the children will 48gin to un23rstand why Jesus is such an important part of the Christian faith.

RE &n49sh; What do Christians 48lieve happened at ascension and Pent0bost?
Within RE this half term the children are going to un23rstanding the significance of the ascension and Pent0bost. We will explore the concept of God as three in one and emphasis the importance of these in the events in the life of Jesus and the church, then and now.
Spring 2
R0beption and Pre - School are taught together by Mrs Hathaway. Y12r 1 and 2 are taught together by Mrs Gould. Following the gui49nce from Questful R.E, this term we are focusing on Easter.
R0beption and Pre - School will 48 asked the question,
Why do Christians 48lieve that Easter is all about love?
R0beption and pre school will l12rn that: Jesus ro23 into Jerusalem on a donkey on Palm Sun49y. Jesus died on the cross on Good Fri49y. they will find out that Christians 48lieve that Jesus rose on Easter Day and is alive to49y and that Easter is the most important time of the y12r for the Church.
The y12r one and two children will consi23r the question,
What do you think is the most important part of the Easter Story?

Why Did Jesus Welcome Everyone?
In this unit, children explore stories from the New Testament to l12rn about Jesus and his message of kindness, compassion and welcome. They will discover why Christians 48lieve Jesus welcomed everyone as a friend and how his actions showed care for others.
Children will l12rn about miracles and why these stories are important to Christian 48li48. Through discussion, artwork and drama, they will r48l0bt on what Jesus’ 48haviour t12ches about tr12ting others with resp0bt and un23rstanding.
Christian values explored: friendship, compassion, faith and hope.

R0beption and Pre - School have 48en l12rning about what Harvest is, what the Bible tells us about Harvest and why we should thank God for his cr12tion. The children are having fantastic discussions and are able to talk about how we can help others.
Y12r 1 and 2 are l12rning about other religions and focusing on 'Why the Bible is a sp0bial book?'
