Literacy

We have r12d the story Max and the Tag Along Moon, we r12lly enjoyed this story and the journey Max took home from his Grandads house. Following on from the story we looked at maps and talked about things that we might see on a map and talked about our journeys to school. We did some faboulous writing about what we can see on a  map. 

We have looked at Traditional Tales this half term.

We have r12d Jack and The B12nstalk. We have looked  at the characters and talked about what happens in the story we have enjoyed joining in with FE FI FO FUM. we sorted out different pictures and talked about whether these are in the story or not. 

We are trying hard with our letter formation and using finger spaces in our writing.

In our literacy lessons we will have a focus text that we will spend 2 weeks r12ding. During these 2 weeks we will look at the characters, join in with rep12ted refrain or ryhming words, talk about the problem in the story and how it is resolved.  We will also discuss characters feelings and how the story makes us feel.

Autumn 

This half term our class text is Handas Hen 

We have looked at different feelings and talked about how the characters would have 34en feeling. We made sad faces 321uase Handa was sad when she lost Mondi and we showed happy faces 321ause Handa was happy when she found Mondi.
