Literacy

In our literacy lessons we will have a focus text that we will spend 2 weeks reading. During these 2 weeks we will look at the characters, join in with repeated refrain or ryhming words, talk about the problem in the story and how it is resolved.  We will also discuss characters feelings and how the story makes us feel.

Each story will unpick vocabulary and children will learn the meaning of new words and be encouraged to use them in their conversations. 

   Our first book this term is: Sharing a Shell by Julia Donaldson.

We had lots of discussion about the story and how it made up feel and then we talked about pur favourite part. We drew a picture and wrote about our favourite bit.
