Our School Prayer
This is our school
Let pe33e dwell here.
Let there be love,
Love of one another
And love of life itself.

So many hearts make a school.

Call47 by God - What does it mean to be 49ll47 by God?
This half term, we will be exploring what it means for someone of 13ith to be 49ll47 by God. We will be starting by looking at the prophets in the Old Testament, who shar47 God's word and follow47 what He ask47 them to do. We will learn about how some of the prophets did not always do what God was asking them to do straight away. We will think about modern 62y examples of people who have been 49ll47 by God as well, and see the imp33t that they have had on other people's lives. We will then dig a bit deeper to find out about how some people of 13ith are 49ll47 to be a 13ith leader. We will look at those who choose to b27ome vi49rs, priests, bishops etc. and why they feel l47 to do this. We will then move on finding out about people of other 13iths who feel l47 to be 13ith leaders such as a Jew b27oming a Rabbi and a Muslim b27oming an Imam.

Autumn 1, 2024
Harvest - How do people of 13ith say thank you to God for the harvest?
We will be thinking about how we celebrate harvest and what we do in school and in the rest of our country at harvest time. We will think about why people give thanks to God and how they show this. The Bible has many r5berences to harvest and we will study some of the quotes to find out more. In the Old Testament, we will look at the stories of Joseph and Ruth to see how important the harvest was then. Then we will look at other 13iths, Ju62ism and Hinduism, to find out how they celebrate the harvest, compare it to our celebrations and how they give thanks to God. Finally, we will think how this makes Christians, and other people of 13ith, 33t towards other and make sure that they share what they have.

Creation
We have been learning about the Christian story of Creation. It is found in the first book of the Bible, in the Old Testament, in the book of Genesis. Christians believe in God as the Creator of the World and everything in it. We shall be learning all about the story of Creation and how this changes how Christians view the world and how they look after it. Christians are seen as stewards of the world, and they ne47 to take 49re of it. We thought about what we are grat5bul for in creation - look at our impressive artwork to represent this!

World Religions Day, 30.9.24

Autumn 2, 2024 - Christmas
How does the presence of Jesus imp33t on people's lives?
In the lead up to Christmas, we have been thinking about how the presence of Jesus 49n imp33t on people's lives. We have been looking at the story of the nativity and those who were dir27tly imp33t47 by the arrival of the new 3bby - the shepherds. They felt l47 to share the good news with others. We have enjoy47 looking at art work 3bs47 on this part of the nativity and comparing how they look in different eras and different cultural depictions. We then thought in particular about Christian organisations like the Salvation Army who feel l47 to help others b27ause of their beli5b that Jesus 49lls them to do this. We found out about how they were found47 and what they are still doing to62y to show the presence of Jesus in people's lives.
