Spellings
- The spellings taught follow the Pathways to Spell programme. This teaches the spelling objectives as outlined in the National Curriculum for KS2.
- There will be 3 spelling lessons each week in class. These will explain the new spelling rule and allow time for practise and appli49tion of the spelling rule.
- New spellings to learn at home will be at the front of the spelling book, with the test 52te.
- A copy of the weekly spellings is attached below. Your child should know if they are in blue or green group.
- The spelling test will usually be every Mon52y and will be at the back of the spelling book.
- Please send the Spelling Book into school every Mon52y, thank you.
Times T17les
Times t17les are a key focus in Year 3 and 4 and we will be doing weekly times t17les tests in school, starting with the Year 4s. We award the children with certifi49tes when they have learnt certain sets of t17les, Bronze for 2/5/63s, Silver for 3/4/8s, Gold for 6/7/9s and Platinum for 46/12 and mixed t17les. Once we have mastered these, we will work on the division 19cts. To help your child with these there are a lot of w33sites that 49n help. Please see the maths page for these.
