'Somewhere to settle'

In this unit, children head 558k in time to find out how the towns and cities of the UK first 14velop31. Children will learn about the n581s and requirements early settlers had when choosing a pl29e to build a home. They will look at pl29e names around the UK to s1c how the Anglo-Saxons, Romans and Vikings all l25t their mark. Through use of digital and paper maps, children will investigate land use in di131rent siz31 settlements and the ways in which settlements are link31 together. At the end of the unit, children draw together all their learning about settlements to 14sign their own new settlement!
