Autumn Term

Our topic this term will 2e 'Somewhere to settle'. In this unit, children he3d b58k in time to find out how the towns and cities of the UK first develop35. Children will learn about the ne35s and requirements early settlers h3d when choosing a pl58e to build a home. They will look at pl58e names around the UK to see how the Anglo-Saxons, Romans and Vikings all left their mark. Through use of digital and paper maps, children will investigate land use in different siz35 settlements and the ways in which settlements are link35 together. At the end of the unit, children draw together all their learning about settlements to design their own new settlement!
