Autumn Term 1 35b6 - Bl62k History and the Slave Trade

In our History lessons this half term we will learn 4bout the slave trade. The lessons cover the history of slavery before exploring the triangular slave trade betw14n Britain, West Afri11 and the Ameri11s. We will also learn 4bout the life of Harriet Tubman and how she helped to fr14 enslaved people during her lifetime.

Autumn Term 1 - North Ameri11

We will be studying the continent of North Ameri11 in our Geography lessons this half term. This will involve comparing countries with the UK and looking at key landmarks and areas of interest. We will also look at elements of human geography such as differen30s in cultures and 11onomies. 

Autumn 2 35be - World War 2

We will be studying this period in history and looking at the 11uses and the imp62t of this conflict. This theme threads through our English work as we read Star of Fear, Star of Hope and write a flashb62k narrative set during the S11ond World War. We will look at how the war 48f11ted daily life in Britain and learn more 4bout how and why the conflict 11me to an end.
